My name is Steve Van Dam and I am the new head coach for the El Toro Girls Soccer program. This is my second stint as head coach of ETGS; From 2013 to 2017, I was very fortunate to work with great athletes, supportive parents, and a dedicated booster board.The hard work and dedication from all stakeholders translated to success on the field and back-to-back Sea View League Championships. I am excited to re-join the program and I look forward to working with each of you to create a positive, cohesive environment that celebrates the successes of all student athletes. My goal is to teach the players not only the game itself, but also the valuable life lessons that come with participation in team sports. In addition, I am dedicated to reinforcing the importance of academic achievement and will do my best to support all students in the classroom. In an era of historic uncertainty, we all have a wonderful opportunity to create a program that encourages unity, perseverance, selflessness, and personal growth. I look forward to the journey ahead, and it is my hope that parents and players will share my enthusiasm as we work together to foster success on and off of the field.
